About Robin

Hi, I'm Robin.

I started practicing as a physiotherapist in 2007. For the first decade, I worked in private practice helping people reduce pain, move more freely, and recover from injury. It was rewarding work. But I kept running into the same wall.

Pain is complex. It's shaped by stress, trauma, beliefs, emotional suppression, relational patterns, nervous system state. And in standard practice, I couldn't touch most of that. What I was seeing in people's bodies was so clearly connected to what was happening in their lives.

After a decade in clinic I burned out. My own body became the teacher. Chronic pain, migraines, long COVID, sustained high stress. I lived through what so many of my clients were navigating.

And in searching for a way through, I completed additional study: postgraduate trauma and nervous system training, positive psychology, nervous system regulation. I was looking for something that could hold both the science and the full human complexity. Something that could work sensitively with trauma while helping people move toward genuine wellbeing and flourishing.

That's when I found embodiment coaching. And something clicked.

Embodiment coaching creates a safe, held space to turn inward. To feel what's actually happening in the body, beneath the noise of thought and habit. To sense, notice, and let things move. People access insight and wisdom that sits below conscious thought. They experience physical release, emotional shifts, and a quality of self-knowing that is hard to describe but impossible to miss. It's the space I'd always wanted to offer. One where the emotional, energetic, and underlying layers that drive physical symptoms can actually be met.

The Supported Body emerged from bringing all of it together: the physiotherapy, the trauma-informed lens, the embodiment practice, the understanding of the nervous system, and my own lived experience of what it takes to move from surviving to genuinely feeling well in your body.

It's the program I wish had existed when I needed it most.
